Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori based approach to the religious formation of the child. The catechesis is based on the conviction that God and the child are in relationship and that the task of the adult is to help the child live fully the encounter with God. There are three sessions per week during the school year with spring registration. Classes are for children ages 3-6 years old. To meet the age requirements, children must be 3 by Sept. 15, and are expected to be toilet trained. Due to conflicts between schedules, 5 separate calendars have been created: Monday AM, Wednesday AM, Wednesday PM and Friday AM.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
is the process of catechesis, formation, and initiation for those wishing
to enter into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. |
