Preview of Pope John Paul II PowerPoint presentation by Corrie Enander, MTS

Dear Friends in Christ,
This PowerPoint presentation "A Journey Through the Interior Life John Paul
II" was prepared for youth and those going to World Youth Day in Toronto
this summer. It is based off George Weigel's book "Witness to Hope".
My goal was to let the youth who are going to Toronto see who young Karol
Wojtyla really was...making him who he is today, Pope John Paul II. Learning
about his life in such way could open their hearts to him so they can have a
deeper experience of meeting our Vicar of Christ here on Earth. Going through
his life allows us to show them how much the young people have always meant to
him...how he would go hiking and kayaking with them...always being an example of
how the Lord pulled him through his difficult moments...prayer and the
Eucharist! Truly he is a source of Hope for our young people!
The link below shows a few of slides of the presentation. It was hard to pick
just a few out of 50 slides but here it is. It is completely a pictorial view of
his entire life from infancy to present day. The presentation is just over 1
hour. There are stories of his life that I tell with each slide (Growing
up Simply, A Promising Actor, Living through WWII, Underground Priesthood,
Kayaking with the University Students, Being Shot in 1981, Preparation Message
for World Youth Day 2002 etc...) I also have a tape recording of a message he
gave to the youth...I like to play that at the end so they can hear his voice
while I have his picture and the words he says up on the screen.
Here is link to some of the slides from Church of St Joseph's website! Just
click on the link below...

of course the slide animation is lost since it is in HTML not PowerPoint but you
get an idea.
Feel free to forward this onto anyone who may be interested. I will be in St
Paul doing a couple presentations May 28-31. I would certainly be willing to
come back to the cities this summer if there are other parishes that would be
interested in such a presentation.
Sincerely in the love of Christ,
