Parishioner input is needed
regarding Parish Nurse Ministry.
The Church of St. Joseph Health
Ministry Advisory Committee values your opinion. We are conducting a
survey in the parish regarding the idea of having a Parish Nurse
program. Two students from the College of St. Catherine will be
coordinating this effort. They will be here on April 26 and 27 in the
Great Room before and after each mass to discuss any questions, concerns,
or ideas you may have regarding a Parish Nurse program.
If you would like to review the
survey and fill it out prior to 4/26, it will be available in the kiosk
or here. Please drop
off the completed surveys in the Great Room on April 26 or April 27,
2008. If you would prefer, you could mail/drop off the completed survey
to the parish center c/o Julie Pfab. Surveys should be submitted by
Monday, May 5.
Please consider the following
health ministries that could be provided by a Parish Nurse:
- Classes/education on health
and wellness
- Support and services for new
parents, and individuals that are homebound
- Health screenings that may
lead to a social, health or parish referral
- Coordination of volunteers to
serve in various health ministries
- Spiritual support for
individuals and families, and work in partnership with our Priest,
other pastoral staff or designated pastoral volunteers to provide
support and services as needed
- Development of support groups
for the parish
- Presence and prayer during
times of stress, change, transition and challenge
Thank you for
participating in this project. For more information, contact Julie Pfab
